Currently, there are many cosmetic surgical procedures to improve the body’s shape.
In this case removing excess skin.
It is a very common cosmetic surgery procedure. Men opt for this process after an extreme weight loss that leaves sagging skin in the lower abdomen, waist and back.
We can remove the excess skin with a Tummy Tuck. According to the amount of excess skin, we will perform a standard, extended or circumferential tummy tuck with fleur de lis if needed.
The procedure is performed under local anesthesia, which is called the epidural.
This is performed by placing the anesthesia in the patient's back. After sedation the patient feels no discomfort and lasts about two or three hours. The surgeon makes an incision in the bikini line to remove the excess skin, then performs the muscle attachment to the midline. This will help shape the waist and flatten the stomach. After abdominal surgery the patient should remain in the hospital overnight. We recommend two weeks off work and avoid heavy lifting for six weeks.
It is normal for the skin to be bruised after surgery, but these bruising should disappear within one week. Always consider that the end result will be seen after 40 days.
We ask our patients for pictures for a more accurate quote.
